Pain points and material advice

Filament users
Print failures
Clogs, stringing, warping and filament breaks waste time and material. Advice: Choose filament with a stable diameter and controlled moisture content. Dry PA, PETG and TPU before printing.
Diameter and winding
Diameter variation causes uneven extrusion; untidy winding jams multi-color feeders. Advice: Check the diameter tolerance and that the winding is neat. GREENPOLYMER design target: ±0.03 mm. Typical values. Refer to the actual TDS.
Functional parts not strong enough
Functional parts printed in appearance filaments break or deform under heat easily. Advice: Choose engineering filament by service temperature and load, such as PC/ABS or carbon-fiber-reinforced PA6.
High-speed printing
Advice: Use high-speed PLA on high-speed printers and adjust the nozzle temperature to the label settings.
Printer makers
Higher chamber temperatures
Enclosed printers get hot inside when printing ABS, ASA and similar materials, and standard ABS housings may deform. Advice: Use heat-resistant PC/ABS for housings and reinforced PA for brackets near heat sources.
Moving parts must be light and stable
Advice: Carbon-fiber-reinforced PA6 has high specific stiffness and suits carriages and print head housings. Note that carbon fiber materials may conduct electricity.
Safety around the power supply and heated bed
Advice: Use halogen-free flame-retardant PC/ABS or PC for power supply compartments and wiring covers, and confirm V-0 at the actual wall thickness.
Appearance and brand colors
Advice: Color matching at the compounding stage keeps color more stable from batch to batch; high-gloss appearance parts can use mold-in-color (paint-free) materials.

Domestic output keeps growing
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, China produced 5.211 million 3D printing devices in 2025, up 52.5 % on the previous year.
Chinese companies lead in desktop printers
According to CCTV's Xinwen Lianbo, Chinese companies hold about 90 % of the global market for consumer 3D printers. Users are not only hobbyists but also designers, engineers, schools and small print farms.
Printers are upgrading
Many new printers are moving from open frames to enclosed chambers, high-speed motion systems and automatic multi-color feeding. With higher print speeds and chamber temperatures, the printers' own housings, print heads and bed brackets need materials that are more heat-resistant, lighter and more stable.
Filament is moving from "easy to print" to "fit for use"
PLA is still a common mainstream filament, and PETG, ABS, ASA, PC and fiber-reinforced nylon are used more and more. Typical industry practice is to use printed parts as jigs and fixtures, spare parts and low-volume end-use parts.
Multi-color and high speed bring new filament requirements
Multi-color printing changes material often, so diameter consistency, winding quality and spool dimensions matter more. High-speed printing needs the material to flow steadily at higher extrusion rates.
Packaging and traceability
ISO/ASTM 52903-1 requires each batch of feedstock to come with information such as the supplier name, material designation and batch number. Filament with a specified maximum moisture content must be sealed and supplied with storage advice. Recycled filament and recyclable spools are also getting attention.
